Bioclear

Why would I need the Bioclear treatment system for my teeth?

Bioclear for  Black Triangles

Many people are unhappy with the gaps between their teeth that give the illusion of black triangles. The dental term for this is ‘open gingival embrasures’.  These black triangles can be as a result of bone loss and recession of the gumline or sometimes it can be the case that teeth have moved.

Some of our patients dislike the look of these triangular gaps as they can make the teeth look older. The gaps can also accumulate food debris so it is very important that flossing and interdental brushes are used as a part of your toothcare routine, to clean the gaps and prevent a buildup of plaque.

If the tooth enamel is healthy veneers are not needed.  The Bioclear method is a better alternative as it uses a special composite bonding technique to close the gaps.

Bioclear for Diastema Closure

The gap that some people have between their top two front teeth is called a diastema.

You may be happy to keep this gap, as it presents no danger to dental health and can give a smile it’s own unique character but for those patients that don’t like the gap Bioclear treatment is the perfect solution.

Bioclear for Uneven Teeth

Sometimes a tooth doesn’t grow to it’s full capacity and can cause the line of the teeth and smile to be uneven.  The composite bonding technique of Bioclear can be used to build up height on these teeth creating a more even smile.

Bioclear Method Explained

The Bioclear treatment is a minimally invasive and cost effective treatment that uses clear forms that are then filled with composite material matched to the shade of your teeth.  The form sits just below the gumline so that the teeth appear to emerge naturally.  Using this method your qualified Bioclear dentist is able to fill black triangles, close gaps and build up uneven teeth.

When the forms are removed left behind is a smooth contoured composite that has a beautiful shine and is smooth to the touch.  The light contacts achieved with this system mean that the papilla (the gum between the teeth) is hugged back into place, revealing a healthy and youthful smile with a natural finish.
